No costume requirement
We are often asked if you have to wear a costume: No, most visitors visit us in normal street clothes. But we are happy about great cosplay costumes – visitors please refer to our Cosplay Respect Code.
At 60’000m2, FANTASY BASEL – The Swiss Comic Con is the biggest convention in Switzerland for film, game, comic and cosplayfans and thanks to the location of the border triangle Basel it has an international vibrancy!

If you’re staying at a hotel in Basel, you’ll receive a free travel pass that will let you use all public transport in the city and the surrounding area for the duration of your stay.
The “Messeplatz” tram stop in front of Messe Basel is just a 10-minute ride from the main railway station (SBB/SNCF) on lines 1 and 2. From “Basel Badischer Bahnhof” station, take line 2 or 6 just two stops to “Messeplatz”.
The fair is just off the motorway. Take the “Messe” exit, which will bring you straight to the exhibition and conference site.

Tip: use the “Basel Badischer Bahnhof” railway station car park, which is just a few minutes’ walk from “Messe Basel”.
The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is just 15 minutes by car from Messe Basel.
From Zurich airport, the journey to the main railway station in Basel (SBB/SNCF) takes less than an hour on direct trains.
It’s worth spending several days in Basel, the city of art. With around 40 museums and collections, Basel is one of Switzerland’s most important artistic and cultural centres.
