In 1995 the two Swiss astronomers Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz discovered the first exoplanet 51 Pegasi b. This triggered a scientific revolution. Today we know more than 4000 exoplanets – planets orbiting another star. And researchers are working to unlock their secrets.
