It’s worth spending several days in Basel, the city of art. With around 40 museums and collections, Basel is one of Switzerland’s most important artistic and cultural centres.
We would please ask visitors to travel to the festival on public transport.
If you’re staying at a hotel in Basel, you’ll receive a free travel pass that will let you use all public transport in the city and the surrounding area for the duration of your stay.
The “Messeplatz” tram stop in front of Messe Basel is just a 10-minute ride from the main railway station (SBB/SNCF) on lines 1 and 2. From “Basel Badischer Bahnhof” station, take line 2 or 6 just two stops to “Messeplatz”.
The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is just 15 minutes by car from Messe Basel. From Zurich airport, the journey to the main railway station in Basel (SBB/SNCF) takes less than an hour on direct trains.
The fair is just off the motorway. Take the “Messe” exit, which will bring you straight to the exhibition and conference site.
Basel has a modern parking guidance system.
Tip: use the “Basel Badischer Bahnhof” railway station car park, which is just a few minutes’ walk from “Messe Basel”.
